The Direct Care Workers are responsible for ensuring each resident's comfort, safety and proper care by providing services such as responding to emergencies, administering treatments and monitoring residents' medical conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain good personal hygiene.
- Accurately document all observations and interactions with patients and family members.
- Accurately communicate with physicians, social workers, and other care providers.
- Accurately administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when working with patients and families.
- Accurately report changes in patient's condition to physicians and staff members.
- Create an emotionally safe environment for the patient and family.
- Assist the patient in maintaining hygiene, personal grooming, and eating habits.
- Maintain patient records according to hospital guidelines.
- Maintain security of the hospital or facility in which they are employed.
Qualifications
- Core skills in caregiving
- Premium skills in assisted living, ADLs, nursing home experience, working with people with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's care, memory care, direct support, senior care, dementia care, and social work
- Relevant skills in first aid, cleaning, EMR systems, patient care, driving, childcare, nursing, HIPAA, medical terminology, and hospice care
The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in patient monitoring and medication administration.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
