Description
GoldenWolf is seeking an Initial Outfitting and Transition Coordinator?that will provide the below support for the Fort Leonard Wood Hospital Replacement project at Fort Leonard Wood MO and the Fort Bliss Blood Donor Clinic located at Fort Bliss TX with possible Initial Outfitting and Transition Coordinator support to Defense Health Agency – Facilities projects in close regional proximity.
Primary duty station: Fort Leonard Wood, MO with support assignments in close regional proximity.
Roles and Responsibilities Technical:
- Acting as the Defense Health Agency – Facilities Enterprise (DHA-FE) representative, liaising with the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and providing expert advice on facility transformation and clinical integration related to the IOT of facilities.
- Monitoring and reporting on planning, design, and construction phases, documenting any arising issues in the Project Status Report (PSR).
- Reporting all contractor requests that may impact the schedule, scope, budget, and/or performance related to the IOT of facilities.
- Reviewing technical documents, such as drawings and submittals, to ensure compliance with codes, criteria, and standards for the IOT of facilities.
- Coordinating utility outages for the MTF, ensuring compliance with project requirements while minimizing disruptions to healthcare operations and contract modifications.
- Assisting in the transition of personnel and property to/from existing and newly constructed or renovated facilities within budget and schedule targets.
Quality:
- Coordinate with installation stakeholders to accomplish DHA-FE project tasks with Mission planning members, including but not limited to DHA, AFCEC, Base Civil Engineering, Fire Department, Environmental, Security Forces, etc.
- Facilitate change order/modification development by collecting information to assist DHA-FE.
- Coordinate with MTF senior leadership and user-group representatives to minimize disruption to ongoing healthcare operations during construction.
Coordination with Stakeholders:
- Coordinate with installation stakeholders to accomplish DHA-FE project tasks with Mission planning members, including but not limited to DHA, AFCEC, Base Civil Engineering, Fire Department, Environmental, Security Forces, etc.
- Facilitate change order/modification development by collecting information to assist DHA-FE.
Coordinate with MTF senior leadership and user-group representatives to minimize disruption to ongoing healthcare operations during construction.

Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of recent healthcare construction/project management experience on large-scale medical facilities (>$25M in scope), with a preference for alteration experience in operating hospitals.
- Expert understanding of NFPA99/101 Life Safety Codes and Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) in the context of construction in operating hospitals.
- Expert understanding of Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) protocols in operating hospitals.
- Fundamental understanding of electrical, building envelope, fire protection, and construction methodologies.
- Working knowledge of medical facility management and The Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation criteria.
- Familiarity with mechanical, ventilation, plumbing, and medical gas systems is desirable.
- Practical knowledge of HVAC, Medical Vacuum & Medical Gas Distribution, Plumbing, Building Automation System (BAS), steam generation/distribution, chilled water production/distribution, and other systems in healthcare facilities is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data reporting/analysis systems.
- Exceptional critical thinking, client-facing/internal communication, and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
