We are a small family owned and operated company based in Charlotte, NC that is looking for additional assistance both in the office and in our warehouse. We need someone who is well rounded and possesses both organizational skills in the office and in a warehouse setting. The ideal candidate is comfortable with working both behind a desk answering phones and email and working on their feet in a warehouse environment which is not temperature controlled and at isn't afraid to "get their hands dirty". Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an office assistant or administrative role preferred
- Familiarity with phone etiquette, proper use of grammar, and customer service principles
- Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and scanners
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to lift 50+ pounds and is in fit condition, comfortable on their feet for several hours at a time
- Knowledge of ATMs, cameras, alarms and security equipment is not required but must be willing and able to learn parts and their functions quickly
Duties & Tasks:
- Filing and consolidation of files
- Help with office organization
- Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and professional manner
- Perform general clerical duties, such as photocopying, scanning, and filing documents
- Assist with calendar management and scheduling technician service calls
- Conduct data entry tasks to update and maintain records
- Manage front desk activities, including receiving and distributing mail and packages
- Provide administrative support to office staff as needed
- Package materials for shipping, print labels and ensure that they are sent out in a timely manner
- Unpack parts that arrive at the shop, organize them appropriately and be able to take inventory
This position requires someone who is reliable, professional, flexible, and able to work well in a small team environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and be able to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Our company is also migrating towards using an online platform called Managely by BoldNet Pro. Ideally we would like a candidate who is familiar with this platform to assist us with this migration. Also, if you are certified or have knowledge of operating a forklift, that would be very useful in this position as well.
