UCG is seeking 2 experienced Direct Service Professionals (DSPs) to care for an individual in a home setting that has disabilities. There is 60 hours for the location, so we will do a Full-Time position at 40 hours and Part Time position at about 20 hours. We need these individuals to cover each other if someone is not able to come in.
The client is a high functioning, social individual who has physical disabilities with fragile health needs. He needs help with meal preparation, and light housework. This includes activities like dishes, sweeping, picking up after the client. Personal care and activities of daily living. He likes to doordash for extra income as needed, needs help getting to the grocery store, appointments and other activities. The company is working on supplying a vehicle for this client that will meet his needs. The client has requested male staff to assist him due to his size and disabilities, but we will consider all qualified applicants.
Schedule hours availability:
Monday-Friday 12pm-10pm
Saturday-Sunday 12pm-8pm
Ideally we would like a set schedule for both individuals. FT would work 4 -10hr days and PT would work 2 weekend days or 1 weekend day and 1 week day that FT does not work.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing support to the individuals served including healthcare, nutrition and program implementing.
- Assisting Individuals with daily living skills and the development of independent community skills.
- Assisting in maintaining consistency in the provisions of supports and services.
- Accurately completing all on-site documentation; maintain current case notes and reports of Individuals progress and how it relates to their ISP.
- Coordinating and providing transportation for community outings for the individuals served.
- Ensuring cleanliness and upkeep of client homes.
Requirements for this position include:
- At least 1 year experience in DODD field
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- CPR/First aid
- DODD provider training (will train)
- Must be able to pass a basic background check.
