Team Leaders provide an exemplary model of customer service, hospitality, and operational procedures while leading and managing the team in clean services.
PAY:$20/HR
SUPERVISOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
FRONT LINE LEADERSHIP - responsible for managing shift duties of the clean ambassadors while ensuring compliance to all Block by Block standards, procedures, and policies.
OBSERVE AND REPORT - while on patrol, be watchful for ambassador performance, overall cleanliness of the district, and unwanted behaviors or criminal activity. Dispatch clean ambassadors via two-way radios to areas of need. Team leads must be able to articulate an accurate description of persons, vehicles, and other similar identifiers.
HOSPITALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE - while on patrol, team leads will go out of the way to actively acknowledge pedestrians with a friendly greeting or identify visitors in order to provide directions, information, city information or recommendations.
REPORTING – must be able to provide written reports of broken infrastructure, graffiti on private property, and provide a basic daily report of accomplishments and tasks completed. Team leaders must be able to provide direction and counsel to team members and report concerns to Operations Manager.
PROFESSIONALISM - must maintain a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and overall Block by Block standards of expected professionalism.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES –
- Must have the physical capacity to walk continuously during an eight hour shift, with normal breaks (two fifteen minutes, and one thirty minute meal break).
- Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions with provided inclement weather gear.
COMMUNICATION – must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in order to create basic reports.
Good qualities in an applicant:
- Experience in a related field where you have had to engage visitors & be customer service oriented. Must be active and like to be on your feet and fairly technologically savvy.
- Extravert, with a great big personality and problem resolution.
