WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
The Associate Brand Manager will work closely with the Associate Director to deliver disruptive innovation, including developing consumer insight-led platform innovation within our category and extending our brands into new categories. This position will sit within the newly formed Disruptive Innovation team, in close partnership with the Bolthouse Farms and Evolution Fresh brand teams, and will be remote, with collaboration sessions in Bakersfield, Rancho Cucamonga or LA on an as-needed basis. This position requires a candidate that is a strategist, innovator, collaborator, and driver of results.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
The job requirements include, but are not limited to the following:

Innovation Strategy: Contribute to developing “new to world” and/or “new to category” disruptive innovation platforms. Able to confidently present strategic recommendations to manager and senior leadership on new whitespace opportunities.
Consumer Insights: Partner with Consumer insights to deeply understand the wants and needs of new and existing consumers. Lead development of concept and positioning, and validation with consumers.
Project Ownership: Ability to lead large cross-functional innovation projects with multiple stakeholders, complex inputs and time sensitive deadlines. Partner with key functions including Commercialization, R&D, Operations, Brand, and Sales to bring new items from concept through first production and customer sell-in and facilitate successful hand-off to Brand Management team for go-to-market launch planning.
Business Analytics: Able to use syndicated, consumer and customer data to understand innovation categories and size of prize. Lead pricing strategy and financial forecasts for new products.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
- Minimum 2 years of brand management experience in CPG, or 2+ years consulting experience prior to MBA completion
- At least 1 year experience in innovation specific role preferred
- A strong analytical mindset and ability to draw insightful conclusions from consumer research
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal communication and team working skills
- A strong collaborator and previous experience leading and working on cross-functional teams
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior business leaders
- Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, Nielsen, Power BI, SPINS, IRI
- Proven, reliable work history

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- MBA preferred
- Consulting background gets bonus points!
- Direct experience in CPG categories is strongly preferred
- Expert in Excel, PowerPoint, Nielsen, Power BI, SPINS, IRI
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to sit for an extended period of time during work
HOURS & WORKDAYS:
- Monday to Friday, 40-hour work week. Some flex may be required during peak work periods.
