We are currently seeking an Analytical Instruments Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and resolving customer inquiries related to analytical instrumentation products, such as density, viscosity, refractometry, polarimetry, and volatility. Reporting to the Business Unit Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting sales efforts in the Southern region.
This position offers a base salary range of $64,000/year to $72,500/year, depending on experience. Additionally, our client provides full benefits, a profit sharing contribution to your 401k retirement savings, a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years, and other potential bonus opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct feasibility studies, evaluate results, and present findings.
- Handle installations, provide training, and offer technical support to customers.
- Interpret data and troubleshoot issues that arise during product use.
- Represent the company at conferences and trade shows.
- Be available for frequent overnight travel, comprising approximately 40-60% of working time.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with analytical instruments or related methods.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with a diverse range of clients, including scientists, professors, and CEOs.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or material science.
- Valid driver's license and passport for travel purposes.
