Your Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Broker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will specialize in the Public Accounting sector, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the industry. This role involves assisting our network of public accountants in navigating the complexities of buying, selling, and merging accountancy practices across every state in the US.
Your Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with public accounting firms and individual accountants within our network.
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential opportunities for mergers, acquisitions, and sales within the public accounting sector.
Advisory Services: Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on valuation, negotiation, and structuring of deals, ensuring alignment with their strategic goals.
Deal Management: Oversee the entire deal process from initial contact to closing, including due diligence, financial analysis, and legal considerations.
Networking: Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand our client base and stay informed about market trends.
Documentation: Prepare detailed business proposals, valuation reports, and other necessary documentation to facilitate transactions.
Compliance: Ensure all transactions comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Your Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA designation is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business brokerage, mergers and acquisitions, or a related field within the accountancy sector.
- Strong understanding of the Public Accounting industry and its regulatory environment.
- Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication abilities.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and closing deals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools.
