About the role
Reporting to the Receiving Supervisor, the Materials Handler plays an important role in Goodkind’s production cycle. They are responsible for the organization and distribution of raw materials and componentry in accordance with established process and procedures, maintaining accurate inventory levels and records, and supporting other manufacturing activities as needed.
What you'll do
Pull materials for daily production activity and distribute to the appropriate recipient
Organize and maintain storage areas in warehouse
Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain cleanliness and safety in the warehouse
Check out components and materials to Production Team based on requests/schedule.
Responsible for working with other Materials Handlers on pallet rack placement and cataloging material/components back into inventory.
Inspect the levels of components/labels, and raw materials to identify shortages
Perform and report cycle counts to Inventory Specialist as needed
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scales and other equipment as needed
Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines
Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
Follow process closely to be sure that all information pertinent to inventory control is accurately recorded
Assist with all warehouse tasks at both warehouse locations
Transport materials between warehouse locations in company’s box truck
Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Warehouse/Inventory experience highly preferred
License or certification to operate heavy machinery as needed
Highly organized and able to store items efficiently
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Suite applications
Must be able to work well in a team
Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in english
Able to work independently with little guidance
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials
Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software, such as MRP/ERP programs
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
Ability to closely follow process and procedures to ensure accuracy and standards are met
