Successful, established, and growing, *patient-centered* oral surgery practice looking for an experienced, motivated, and passionate individual to join our all-star team. Located in Woodmere, NY, our practice has been serving the community of the Five Towns and Long Island for over 35 years, and has a wonderful reputation in our community.
As Patient Care Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a crucial role in ensuring their experience is outstanding from the moment they contact our office. You will be responsible for coordinating appointments, handling patient inquiries, and providing support to our clinical team to ensure the smooth flow of patient care. The ideal candidate would be an exceptional "people person", detail-oriented, and an energetic, motivated, self-starter, with excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients in person, via phone, and through digital channels.
- Schedule, coordinate, and confirm patient appointments for consultations, surgeries, and follow-up visits.
- Verify insurance and assist with handling pre-authorization processes.
- Assist patients with the check-in/check-out process, collecting paperwork, insurance information and payments
- Provide patients with accurate information about their treatments, procedures, and financial responsibilities.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure a seamless patient experience and efficient office operations.
- Handle administrative tasks, including managing patient paperwork, data entry, and billing support.
- Maintain a positive, professional relationship with patients, referring dentists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Address patient concerns and inquiries in a professional and empathetic manner.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in oral surgery front office work.
- Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of dental billing and coding, insurance claims, and financial management.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with electronic medical record software, such as WinOMS.
