Neurotech NA Inc, the manufacturer of a market-leading medical device, is looking to add a AR Specialist (DME) to our team in Jacksonville, FL.
This is not a call center collections position - you would be a key member of our team, interacting with patients, sales reps and insurance companies, and delivering on our corporate mission of providing "VIP Customer Care".
The person we are looking for will be a good cultural fit with our team-oriented, "roll-up-your-sleeves-and-get-stuck-in" organization. You must have a demonstrated ability to learn a variety of skills and have the ability to juggle competing priorities and thrive under pressure. Your professional interpersonal skills need to be exceptional, with proven customer care skills. You must have expert knowledge of how to collect Durable Medical Equipment payments from national health insurance providers and managed care organizations. You also need to be able to learn and master new systems and processes quickly, while adhering to our corporate Quality Management Systems and Compliance Policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivables for assigned insurance payors.
- Post payments and reconcile patient accounts within the Brightree DME billing system.
- Submit appeals for all invalid denials.
- Report on current AR status and issues to AR Team Lead
- Work with payor relations to address contracting needs.
- Work with the operations manager to identify opportunities to improve the front-end billing process to expedite collections
- Establish EDI/EFT relationships with payors where possible.
- Handle escalated patient account issues with professionalism, care and urgency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous process improvements.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures to ensure the Company’s compliance with all local and national regulatory requirements – including but not limited to HIPAA, HQAA/Medicare, FDA and any other regulatory requirements.
- Perform special projects as requested by management
Key Competencies:
- Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment Health Insurance Coverage highly desirable
- Proven track record in collected on outstanding accounts.
- Strong organizational skills and highly structured approach with attention to detail and proper documentation of all work
- Commitment to VIP customer care
- Advanced relationship-building skills
- Collaborative, team-oriented style, combined with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to foster a productive team-oriented environment with adaptability to handle changing priorities and multiple assignments in a high volume, fast-paced work environment.
Qualifications:
2-3 years medical device accounts receivables experience preferred.
