Definition and Primary Objective: The Facilities Team is responsible for ensuring our learning centers and offices are comfortable, safe, beautiful, and functional for staff and students. A Facilities Technician 1 is able to perform a majority of the of the listed responsibilities at an independently serviceable level.
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks:

Mechanical*
- Preventative Maintenance
- Troubleshooting, repair and replacement of condensing units, air handlers/evap coils, heat pumps (air to air), gas furnaces and gas boilers
Electrical
- Replacing/repairing fixtures, switches, plugs and circuit breakers
- Installing and/or repairing conduit
Plumbing
- Using augers to clear blockages
- Repair/replacement of drain lines, supply lines and fixtures
- Installation of toilets and sinks
Carpentry
- Replacing outside trim, siding and structure repairs
- Framing walls
- Repairing wooden furnishings
Appliance Repair
- Washer and dryer repair
- Refrigerator and freezer repair
- Dishwasher repair
Landscaping
- Mulching and edging mulched beds
- Spring/fall clean up, gutter clean out
- Tree limb trimming
Cleaning
- Pressure washing
- Trash pickup
Moving/Opening/Closing Centers
- Packing, moving, unboxing, and setting up furnishings
- Driving rented vehicles
Roofing
- Patch and repair of rubber/flat roofs
Equipment Operation
- Skid steer
- Excavators
- Man lifts
Painting and Drywall Repair
Have the ability to train/learn skills listed that are not possessed
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education, Experience and Other Skill Requirements:
Universal 608 EPA Certification is a plus but not mandatory
3-10 years experience working in the Maintenance field
Must have reliable transportation
Must have own tool sets
Must have experience in plumbing, electrical, and/or mechanical repairs
Physical demands:
Ability to lift items of 60 pounds
Ability to work on your feet for full shift
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
