Position Title:
Material Handler/Shipping/Receiving
Minimum Qualifications:
Physical Requirements-
Hand-Eye Coordination- Must have a steady hand and good hand-eye coordination to operate power industrial vehicle in safe manner preventing injury or material/building damage
Vision- Must have vision natural or with corrective lenses suitable to read part numbers at distance and fine print on documents
Physical strength- Must be strong enough to lift heavy components 75+ pounds and repeatedly lift 45 pounds
Physical stamina- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitious work during non-ideal conditions
Powered Industrial Vehicle Experience- knowledgeable of PIV safety requirements and best practices, operational experience with sit down and stand-up forklift operations, basic PIV safety/pre-shift inspection and battery maintenance skills
Technical skills- Must be able to understand technical manuals, blue prints, and schematics for a wide range of materials used to manufacture the final product
Math Capabilities- Utilize a tape measure, basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimal point placement)
Technical skills- Must be able to understand technical manuals, blue prints, and schematics for a wide range of products and machines to properly manufacture the final product.
Computer skills- Experience and functional capabilities with inventory management software system, Microsoft Excel & Word, and Outlook email
Communication skills- ability to clearly and succinctly communicate ideas, understand and execute verbal and written instructions
Desired Qualifications:
- Comprehension and application of lean manufacturing practices including 5S, Kaizens, Continuous Improvement projects

Displayed understanding of formal problem-solving processes

Safety Team Member experience or understanding of OSHA Regulations and/or general manufacturing safety absolutes and guidelines

Experience with Infor SyteLine software program

TYPICAL DUTIES
Receiving:
-
Verify BOL/Packing Slip to delivery contents, inspect for any freight damage
-
Unload material from truck
- Receive material into inventory management software system
Inventory Control:
-
Pick production material from warehouse/storage locations and deliver to workstations
-
Put away received or production returned material, and update location in inventory management system
-
Continuously consolidate material inventory to safely maximize space utilization
-
Pre-stage materials in organized manner for upcoming usage
-
Notify supervisor of any material shortages
Shipping:
-
Stage finished goods products for shipment
-
Verify finished good serial numbers to BOL
-
Load material on to trucks
Other Duties, but not limited to:

Notify supervisor, EHS Manager, or other member of management team of any safety hazards

Cleanliness and organization of workspace and areas of responsibility

Operating forklift in safe manner
