FormWood Industries is a leading manufacturer of custom veneer plywood products. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Leader to conduct our maintenance team and ensure the ongoing maintenance and operation of our manufacturing facility.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Leader will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance team and ensuring the upkeep and operation of all machinery, equipment, and facilities within the manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will have prior experience in maintenance management and a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems. This position also works on the repair, upkeep, and preventative maintenance of the equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the maintenance team, providing leadership, training, and guidance as needed. The Maintenance Manager also actively works on and improves equipment as well.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and longevity of machinery and equipment.
- Monitor and evaluate equipment performance, identifying and addressing issues as they arise.
- Develop and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure production goals are met and downtime is minimized.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Prior experience in maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, and ability to diagnose and repair issues. Proficient in PLC programming.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team and collaborate with other departments.
- Experience with budgeting and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards, and ability to ensure compliance.
