Associate Family Law Attorney
Fairway Law Group is a fast-growing family law firm handling divorces, child custody, paternity, and modification cases. We are currently hiring an associate family law attorney for our Deerfield Beach office. Deerfield Beach is just North of Fort Lauderdale and just South of Boca Raton.
This is a salary-plus-bonus in-office position. Although there will be flexibility with start and end times to your workday, this is not a work-at-home position and you will be working in the office.

Experience with family law cases is preferred but not required for this position, however the applicant’s attitude and willingness to grow will weigh heavily on any hiring decision.

Specific Job Duties:
- Work directly with clients regarding their case, advising them as to the progress of the case, strategy, and what they can expect in terms of outcomes.
- Review pleadings such as petitions, summons, notices, discovery requests, motions to compel, and subpoenas to edit and approve same for filing.
- Draft motions, non-standard pleadings, and conduct case law research.
- Supervise progress of assigned cases.
- Prepare for and attend hearings.
- Try cases.
- Ability to accurately bill for your time and meet billing quotas.
- Review financial disclosures prior to filing with the court, and review received financial disclosures from opposing parties.
How You Will Be Paid:
You will be paid a base salary plus an bonus based on your billable hours. Your pay will be discussed in detail with you during your interviews, and you will have a clear understanding of how you will be paid and how your bonus will be calculated and paid out. Bonuses will be paid throughout the year, so you are not left waiting for a “subjective bonus” at the end of the year. Expected total compensation (base salary plus bonus) for this position will be between $100,000.00 and $160,000.00 depending on the revenue you generate on cases we supply.
Who Should Apply:
1-3 years of litigation experience is required. We will teach you family law if you don't already have a general understanding of it. The most important hiring criteria for this position is the right attitude and the ability to work with a team. We are building a law firm and growing rapidly, and hiring the right person is something we take very seriously. You must be someone who we can rely on to get the job done. In exchange, you will be compensated well and be treated with respect.
