POSITION SUMMARY
The campus Clerk provides key support, including performance of a wide variety of specialized clerical duties involving compiling and arranging data, making computations, conceptualizing, and preparing reports, processing and coding documents, and maintaining specialized and comprehensive records and filing. Clerical duties include, but not limited to greeting guests, answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate personnel, flow of correspondence, and monitoring students as needed. The campus Clerk will also cross train to provide support in specific campus operations assigned by the campus principal including but not limited to, Child Nutrition Program, Front Desk, and PEIMS support.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES-
Greet and direct personnel and visitors.
- Maintain the Sign In/Out Log for personnel and visitors.
- Answer telephone and direct callers to appropriate personnel.
- Take messages and/or transfers callers to appropriate personnel voicemail when unavailable.
- Provide callers with information as needed including, but not limited to, addresses, directions, phone/fax numbers, website and other related information.
- Receive and forward incoming mail to designated personnel.
- Assist designated personnel with coordinating the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.).
- Assist designated personnel with coordinating the process of mail hold during holiday breaks.
- Create and maintain call out/all call phone messages and announcements as needed through appropriate system/software.
- Monitor cleanliness of front office/workspace, office restroom, and break room, and report and follow-up as needed with designated personnel.
- Assist with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing, scanning, and emailing.
- Assist designated personnel with email blasts as needed.
- Assist designated personnel with social media updates as needed.
- Prepare any necessary set-up for campus meetings as assigned by principal and/or designee.

Prepare and type correspondence and reports as needed.

Receives, classifies, reconciles, consolidates, and summarizes documents and information.
- Assist with data entry as needed.
- Update campus handbooks, policy manuals, and other documents as assigned.
- Assist designated personnel with receiving, storing, and issuing supplies and equipment.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- If applicable, maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations.

Cross-train in assigned areas as needed to support campus daily operations.

QUALIFICATIONS -
High school diploma/GED; College hours/Associates degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in applicable area.

Experience in a public school district or charter, education service center, institution of higher education, or other educational setting preferred.
- Experience working with diverse populations: personnel, students, parents, and other stakeholders.
OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS -
Ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into focus; judge distance (close and distant); reach with arms extended and use hands to manipulate the keyboard, smart board and other conference room/classroom technology.

Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds, including but not limited to: books, paper, presentation materials and office materials/supplies.

This position requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling and/or the ability to be mobile.

- Ability to travel throughout the district and city as needed by means of personal/private or public transportation in compliance with the states department of motor vehicle and/or public transportation laws.
