Responsibilities:
- Under the supervision of the Procedure Scheduling Manager, supervise and serve as a role model for scheduling staff while ensuring continuous provider support
- Perform/monitor scheduling staff’s assigned voicemail folders and message pools to prevent delays in patient/provider needs

Assist in the onboarding and orientation process of new hires

Promote professional development through supervision, mentoring, and orientation of scheduling staff

Provide on-going feedback on issues regarding scheduling staff’s performance and time/attendance in collaboration with the Procedure Scheduling Manager

In the manager’s absence, coordinate assignment of staff’s weekly schedules/voicemail duties, review/manage all PTO requests, and review/submit timesheets to payroll via API

Scheduling surgeries and procedures for all specialties

Coordinate all required testing and procedures

Ensure all required pre-testing, patient information and consents have been obtained and are on-site prior to patient’s admission to hospital

Demonstrate good judgment in scheduling procedures to both meet patient needs and increase physician productivity.

Acting as a liaison with patients, referrals, general practitioners, health care professionals, and patient’s family members in a compassionate and kind manner

Relaying and confidentially communicating both orally and in written form any notes or questions patients may have

Other office responsibilities, assigned by supervisor or Physician, as deemed necessary
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:

1 year or more experience in a Hospital or Physician Practice setting
-
Strong knowledge of medical terminology
Preferred Job Requirements:
-
Associates, High School Diploma, or GED equivalent
-
Certified Scheduling Technician
