VitalTech Group is seeking a detail - oriented and strategic Media Buyer to join our marketing team. The Media Buyer will be responsible for identifying the most effective media platforms for building brand awareness and driving sales. This role involves negotiating with media vendors, managing budgets, and optimizing media campaigns to ensure maximum ROI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive media plans aligned with marketing objectives and target audience demographics.
- Research and analyze market trends, audience demographics, and competitor activities.
- Perform as key contact for media inquiries.
- Negotiate and purchase advertising space across various media channels including TV, radio, print, and digital.
- Ensure the best rates and placements for advertisements to maximize the budget and campaign effectiveness.
- Monitor and manage the performance of media campaigns, making adjustments as necessary to optimize results by ensuring schedules air accordingly.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media vendors, negotiating terms and ensuring timely delivery of media assets.
- Review media invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contracts and resolving buy discrepancies.
- Work closely with directors and marketing resources to develop and implement cohesive advertising strategies.
- Develop advertising strategies based on historical sales analysis.
- Manage media budgets, ensuring all campaigns are delivered within the allocated budget.
- Maintain media schedules on a daily basis by checking pre and post logs weekly.
- Reporting and tracking budgets to ensure accuracy.
- Bring innovative thinking and new ideas to the team.
- Participate in team brainstorming sessions.
- Develop a working knowledge of the company's goals, guidelines, and strategies.
- Proficient with key programs and strong media math skills.

About You
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 5 years of media buying experience within agency and/or client environment required
- 5 or more years' media buying experience including but not limited to radio and TV, healthcare preferred
- Must have experience buying Direct Response Radio Advertising Campaigns
- Must have extensive marketplace knowledge, strong vendor relationships in all national media disciplines
- Exceptional negotiation skills
- Must possess exceptional problem solving, critical thinking, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills
- Able to work with teams and independently, handle multiple projects at once and meet tight deadlines under pressure
- Excellent work ethic, detail-oriented, organized, and consistent follow through
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
