Mid-size, multi-state law firm looking for an experienced litigation paralegal to assist Community Association attorneys in our Mesa, AZ location with insurance defense, construction defect, and general HOA litigation.
Job Functions
- Understand AZ state and local court rules, guidelines, case workflow processes;
- Experience with disclosure and discovery responses and objections
- Draft, review and revise correspondence, documents, and pleadings
- Legal research, including checking citations
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to detail and organization skills are a must
- Proven competencies in general computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite
Education and Experience – at least one of the following:
- Certificate of completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program, with a recommended minimum of three years of litigation experience in a law firm
- Certificate of completion of a paralegal program at or a degree from a post-secondary institution that requires the successful completion of a minimum 24 semester or equivalent units in law-related courses and that has been accredited by a national or regional accrediting organization, with a recommended minimum of three years of litigation experience in a law firm
- HOA construction defect litigation experience a plus
