The Dishwasher (part-time/temp/on-call) assists in all back of the house Kitchen operations for one of the largest state-of-the-art kitchens in Hawaii. They handle volume events and the work is very labor intensive. This position is On-Call as it is based on when there are events, so it is perfect for those who are already working and looking for flexible work.
Job Responsibilities:
· Loading and unloading carts, pushing, pulling large hotboxes and heavy carts to functions.
· Loading and unloading commercial size dishwashers.
· Manually pre-washing scraped on foods, pots, pans, trays. Breaking down events manually and reloading into carts and pushing back to main kitchen
· Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps food as needed.
· Properly washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, silverware, cookware and storage containers.
· Assists in the timely storing of food deliveries.
· Follows assigned daily dish cleaning duties.
· Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or request by the Executive Steward or Executive Chef as needed.
Job Requirements:
· Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
· Must have black non-slip shoes.
· Must take direction well and be able to adapt.
· Loading and offloading heavy equipment (up to 50lbs) and deliver to event rooms.
· Comfortable with labor duties including but not limited to standing, walking, push, pull, lifting, kneeling for long periods of time.
· Must be able to report to work on time if not early.
