The Vander Weele Group has an exciting opportunity for a creative, fast-paced Human Resource Generalist who is looking to own the HR function, build HR infrastructure, and align HR practices with current and future business needs. We have begun to build the base of our HR infrastructure, but there is so much more to do! You will work with the Chief Operating Officer to help set strategy and build a robust staffing function that includes networking with candidates for future business needs and aligning and identifying staff training and development to build current and future capabilities and capacity. In this role, you will be part of the business and expected to understand what we do, our growth plans, and how HR can support our people and our work today and in the future. In addition, the HR Generalist will ensure compliance, and coordinate the administering of onboarding, offboarding, performance evaluations, benefits, and building community.
Job Duties:
- Manage the recruitment and selection process, ensuring it aligns with company growth and evolution.
- Understand the Vander Weele Group’s business down to what each employee does to contribute to that business.
- Subject matter expert on staff skill sets.
- Manage and evolve a performance evaluation system that drives high performance.
- Maintain and recommend benefit programs.
- Develop and continually update salary ranges and job descriptions.
- Assess and recommend training needs.
- First line of contact for employees on all HR matters.
- Develop and report on HR metrics.
- Ensure legal compliance with HR practices.
- Nurture a positive working environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or Manager.
- Minimum of 3 years of recruiting experience.
- Experience developing a variety of the following: evaluations, competencies, training, recruiting practices, compensation philosophy, and HR processes.
- Outstanding organizational skills: able to juggle multiple projects and tasks while keeping everyone up to date.
- You can’t help but want to learn everything you can about a business and identify where HR can add value.
- Able to balance business and employee needs.
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience researching HR laws, regulations, or related standards and maintaining compliance in all things HR.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a business that works with government agencies is a plus.
- Experience with the HR functions of Paylocity is a huge plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
