The Administrative Assistant for Education Finance Council (EFC) performs a range of responsibilities related to the delivery of member services and administrative support for the EFC Team. This position requires initiative, a desire to learn new skills, and the ability to work both independently and in teams. The Administrative Assistant regularly interacts with C-suite executives and must maintain positive and professional communication and relationships. This position reports to the Vice President of Operations and Development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative Support
- Perform administrative tasks as assigned, including but not limited to answering incoming calls, scheduling meetings, and mailings
- Provide support for EFC committees and the EFC Board of Directors, including but not limited to scheduling meetings, distributing agendas, maintaining committee and Board lists, facilitating Board elections, maintaining Board history, and taking Board meeting minutes
Membership Services
- Develop relationships with EFC members by responding to their questions and requests in a timely manner, and supporting the services EFC offers
- Maintain the EFC website and member-only portal, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date, and assist EFC members with website-related inquiries and requests for support
- Develop and manage member surveys and requests for data and information and provide summary analysis as directed
- Assist with the data collection and preparation of EFC’s National Impact Report, Member Vendor Directory, EFC Congressional/Membership Directory, and other documents, tools, and resources
- Support the development and production of other deliverables for EFC members as directed
Conference, Meeting & Event Planning Support
- Provide conference and event support, including assistance with event planning, preparation of materials, developing and dissemination of promotional e-mails, maintaining conference webpages, managing registrations, staffing the registration table, and post-conference projects

EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Associate degree or at least two years of experience in an administrative role
- Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills, including note taking and the ability to accurately summarize materials and events
- Ability to manage and balance multiple priorities, effectively communicate the status of projects, and adjust priorities based on shifting organizational needs
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with people from all backgrounds, views, and political affiliations, including colleagues, Board members, C-suite executives, and external partners
- Professional, goal-oriented team player and a self-starter who takes pride in a job well done
- Detail-oriented with the highest degree of accuracy in all activities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Zoom, and Canva
- Proficient with content management and association management software, or willingness to learn these skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
EFC offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The anticipated salary range for this position is $42,300 to $52,000.
TRAVEL
Requires some travel to EFC meetings and conferences, industry events, and member site visits
JOB LOCATION
Greater Washington, DC. This is a hybrid position requiring regular in-office work in our DC office.
