Overview
Responsible for minor and major repairs of all buildings and equipment as well as daily maintenance including electrical, painting, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry. The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

1. Support the Crowne Plaza hallmark and service standards.
2. Performs typical maintenance tasks to support the entire facility.
3. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.4
4. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
5. Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or Basic understanding of the day-to-day maintenance including; electrical, painting, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry.
6. Perform daily inspection of equipment.
7. Refurbishes furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and counters.
8. Responds in a courteous manner to all guest questions, requests and complaints.
9. Performs preventative maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis.
10. Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
11. All other duties as required.

Education & Experience
1. High School or equivalent preferred
2. 1-3 years of related experience preferred
3. General knowledge of plumbing, electric, and/or HVAC preferred
4. One to two years of vocational/technical training or an Associate's degree preferred.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise in the work environment can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
