Job Purpose/Function:
This position is responsible for providing support to the Program Director, Meals on Wheels, and the Elderly Nutrition Program serving the greater New Haven area.
Major Responsibilities:

Perform client intake and enrollment.

Establish and maintain client files.

Generate daily kitchen report and fax meal counts to caterer.

Generate and distribute driver route reports.

Generate and fax “Missing Client Report.”

Amend route books daily as needed.

Oversee weekly restaurant program activity.

Distribute daily mail.
-
Inventory office supplies and order as needed.

Interact with FSE Team and provide back up support as needed.

Perform telephone support.

Attend appropriate trainings and conferences.

Assist with nutrition education activities.

Perform Driver/Dispatcher duties as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:

Ability to function as a member of a team.

Possess strong organizational and people skills.

Possess strong telephone skills.

Ability to use computers and business machines.

Excellent written and communication skills.

Possess a high school diploma or GED.
-
Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Ability to work with diverse clientele and staff.
Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The noise level in the office environment is typical of any office setting/facility and ranges from low to high. May have frequent interaction with individuals in the program and community.
