Dermatology Group of the Carolinas is a privately-owned dermatology practice with offices in Concord, Huntersville & Salisbury. We are currently looking to expand our staff with a Full-Time Patient Services Representative/Scheduler. The ideal candidate will have experience with receiving, entering and scheduling patient appointments from referring physicians and the public in an EMR system, along with insurance verification. This candidate will be a liaison between the public, staff and physicians by routing all incoming calls to the appropriate area/individual. This position will be mainly in our Concord office.

Job Summary: The primary role of our Patient Services Representative/Scheduler is to work with our patients and providers to make the patient experience as pleasant as possible. Our scheduling team handles daily call volumes exceeding 400 calls per day for office appointment scheduling, recalls & procedures, as requested by providers.
Job Duties (include, but are not limited to):
- Act as telephone liaison between public, staff and physicians by channeling all incoming calls and routing them to appropriate areas/individuals.
- Ensure proper communication with Non-English speaking patients, via the “Language Line”
· Receive, enter, and schedule patient appointments from referring physicians, setting up patient charts in Nextech system, and obtaining referrals, when necessary.
· Operate and maintain Televox system (Prompting system to complete reminder calls, cancelling in Nextech any cancelled appointments from Televox report).
· Call patients to schedule from Wait List after appointments are cancelled.
· Process medical record requests from patients & other physician practices within 24-48 hours.
· Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
