Job Summary:
American Art Clay Company (AMACO) was founded in 1919 by Ted O. Philpott. AMACO is known for being the first to commercially manufacture ceramic and non-ceramic clays, lead-free glazes, electric kilns and potter’s wheels. AMACO is a founding member of the Arts and Creative Materials Institute, which established safety standards for children’s art materials in 1936. Today AMACO continues to manufacture ceramic supplies with the highest standards of quality and safety.

We are looking for a Crew Leader that will be a part of the continuous improvement of AMACO. The Crew Leader will help assist in leading their team to be as efficient as possible. The Crew Leader will work closely with their department supervisor communicating instructions and tasks assigned for the day. Responsibilities:
· Serves as a working leader over an assigned group of work stations within a manufacturing division.
· Under the guidance of the Supervisor, may assign Line Equipment Operators (LEO) and line workers to positions within work stations.
· Assists with training of work station personnel.
· Assures availability of parts, materials and supplies required by work stations and schedules.
· Will assist with work stations for relief and to relieve bottle necks which disrupt the smooth flow of a work station.
· Assists the Supervisor in the daily completion of production reports.
Requirements:
· Must be able to read, understand and comply with Bills of Material, processing/work instructions
· Must not be color blind
· Must be able to lift up to 50-75 lbs. (Repetitively)
· Must be able to do cycle counts of materials, -i.e. Labels, boxes and cartons, etc.
· Must be able to report production output and activities
· Must be able to present production information to management
· Safely and effectively operate all equipment necessary to perform assigned duties
· Ability to read and write
· Must be able to work in hot environments

Work Environment:
This job may require you to stand for an extended period of time and some lifting/heavy lifting may be required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 40+ hours per week. Occasional overtime work may be required as job duties demand.

No travel is expected for this position.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma, or GED is required
