Job Description :
The Accounting Clerk performs a variety of general accounting support tasks in the Accounting Department.
Essential Functions:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Procurement Reconciliation
- Collections
Duties
- Perform accounting and clerical functions to support supervisors
- Research, track, and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Compile and sort invoices and checks
- Issue checks and process for accounts payable
- Record business transactions daily
- Support accounting personnel
- Input invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records
- Match invoices to work orders
- Process bills for payment
- Contact clients with delinquent accounts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Proficiency in Accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Experience with Accounts payable and Accounts receivable
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and other Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of financial concepts and GAAP
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting
- Prior experience with payroll management and tax preparation is a plus
