Position Summary
This position will assist the T. Howard Foundation in designing and executing a comprehensive data analysis plan. The insights gathered from this data will help us evaluate and enhance the impact of our Foundation and its programs. This position will work closely with the leadership of multiple, programmatic teams to meet the goals both departmentally and collectively, of the Foundation.
Start Date: 8/1/2024 – End Date: 1/31/2025
Hourly Rate: $40-$45/hr | Hours per week: 20
Responsibilities
- Review data management goals with respective program managers to identify opportunities to improve data collection and management processes
- Develop, integrate, and maintain a systematic approach to managing historical application data, partner data, and alumni information
- Recommend and implement solutions to streamline data-related workflows, and collaborate with team members to enhance data-driven decision-making processes
- Retrieve, organize, and clean available data from multiple platforms to ensure data integrity for future analysis
- Update and consolidate cleaned data into centralized database
- Manage organized databases with all data sources and entries, including identifying and correcting existing data errors
- Analyze and create reports/visualizations of trends with available data to benefit the goals of the Foundation
- Collaborate with program leadership in conversations with third-party applications for data management such as Wizehive to determine optimal solutions
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Authorization to work without sponsorship in the United States
- Strong ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment and manage multiple projects/activities simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in computer science, data science, or related field
- 2+ years of professional experience in data analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (or other data analysis software)
- Experience with Wizehive or similar CRM software
- Strong analytical mindset with a problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to identify trends in data and develop analyses to communicate them
- Proven ability to take initiative, be innovative and work independently
- Strong oral and written communication skills
