You must either have an associations degree, or 2 years of experience in the CBE (Community Based Employment) field.
JOB PURPOSE: To provide each person supported with interactive training based on the developmental model, following individual plans and to assist the Program Manager in training, administering and supervising staff in the programs.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To adhere to the Christian purpose and philosophy of COC.
- To be committed to teaching, learning from, and leading other staff and people supported each day according to COC’s philosophy and mission statement.
- To document necessary information as defined in the ISP and according to the vocational program.
- To maintain a high level of awareness and to document and address the medical needs and safety concerns of each person supported.
- To assist the Program Manager by providing input into the hiring, orientating, managing, evaluating, and scheduling of direct training staff, including finding substitute staff as needed.
- To provide training to staff as directed by the Program Manager.
- To assist the Program Manager in conducting staff meetings and providing input at team meetings.
- To complete paper work and bookkeeping in support of the Life Skills & CBE programs.
- To set up and maintain filing, copying, and information dissemination in support of the Life Skills & CBE programs.
- To maintain good relationships with all other organizations and businesses with whom we obtain sub-contract work for the FBE-2 & Life Skills programs.
- To attend all required meetings, training, and events.
- To perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to generate written reports that accomplish necessary objectives
- Ability to learn technical materials from written documentation.
- Ability to role model appropriate skills and physically prompt people with or without a variety of disabilities for instructional purposes.
- Ability to operate COC and/or personal vehicles and is properly licensed to do so.
- Ability to communicate with incoming phone callers and to communicate with external resources using a telephone.
- Ability to use word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs.
- Ability to use good interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to perform jobs of direct support staff for substituting.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality for people supported, staff, and businesses worked with.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
REQUIRED QUALIFIERS: Those skills, education, and experience a person must possess to be considered for the position.

Hours: Mostly day time, Monday-Friday hours with the possibility of some evenings and weekends. On call rotation.
