Job Overview:
The Service Plumbing Technician will perform repairs, installations, diagnostics and tests to pipes, tanks, water fixtures, unclogging toilets, drains and tubs; including locating and repairing issues with water lines, while preventing damages to the infrastructure and ensuring to comply with local codes in residential homes. The Service Technician must be able to work independently or under minimal supervision and solve problems as quickly and efficiently as possible. Individuals must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, be in good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces and possess a valid driver’s license.
Duties:
- Handle a variety of plumbing emergencies and client queries efficiently. Troubleshooting and resolving problems applying advanced plumbing techniques while adhering to regulations, plumbing codes and safety rules.
- Understand or plan the layout of plumbing and water supply systems.
- Perform quality inspections.
- Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets and fixtures.
- Locate and repair issues with water distribution lines.
- Diagnose and test system for leaks and other problems.
- Inspect and test plumbing systems for functionality, and code compliance.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external clients (eg; homeowner, supervisors, builders, team member), especially when a job is taking longer than expected, provide them with time and cost estimates, and offer them advice. - Work alongside construction workers from other trades, builders and other professionals.
- Drive a company vehicle from the company to the job site. Upload and unload vehicle with tools and materials according to schedule and service to be provided.
- Follow Safety regulations at all times.
- Complete and submit company work forms and photos daily.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Solid understanding of entire plumbing systems.
- Good working knowledge and understanding of residential plumbing codes .
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment.
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to physically perform the role; physical condition and strength to work in awkward spaces.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of proven as a residential Service Plumber.
- A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
- License or certifications are preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
This is a physically demanding job which requires the Service Plumbing Technician to perform work in environments with varied conditions; exposure to heat, cold, dust, small and tight spaces, climbing ladders to access, lifting, crawling, kneeling, carrying and lifting equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, moving throughout the job sites to perform daily tasks. This position requires local traveling within surrounding counties and working on a computer or I-pad.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance. Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

Pay: $54,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
