Life Counseling Institute, an enduring private practice since 2012, is expanding and looking for exceptional mental health professionals to join our outstanding team. We are seeking part- and full-time therapists with day and evening availability. The hired therapist will work in our Park Ridge and/or Willowbrook offices, although a hybrid option may be available. We offer great pay and full benefits, a structured onboarding program, fantastic training and professional development opportunities, and flexible scheduling options that prioritize your work-life balance.
What Makes Us Unique?
We’re unique among private practices because of our strong emphasis on the training and professional development of our therapists. We offer a structured onboarding program that enables you to feel supported from the minute you walk in the door…and frequent trainings that will help you learn to be the best possible therapist you can be. Isn’t that why you went into this profession in the first place?
We’re interested in candidates who really care that they’re helping their client getting better. Here, you won’t just be conducting sessions….you’ll know you’re using the most effective, evidence-based techniques to help your client, all with the guidance you need to do so.
We offer:
- Group and individual supervision/consultation
- Trainings by outside experts on topics such as anxiety, OCD, trauma, counselor well-being, and various forms of therapy, such as trauma-informed therapy, ACT, IFS, and RO-DBT
- An EFT case consult for couples therapists interested in emotion-focused therapy or individual therapists interested in emotion-focused individual therapy (EFIT)
- Staff-led in-depth case consultations

Our Work and Our Clients
Our therapists have the benefit of working with highly motivated clients who can benefit from your skills. And there’s very little paperwork here. We’ll work with you to help you identify your areas of clinical interest and develop your niche, be it working with teens or couples, anxiety disorders or trauma. We want you to feel that you’re continually growing so that you can be the best possible therapist you can be.
We see clients with a variety of issues, but our practice is well known and well regarded for our particular expertise in counseling individuals with serious anxiety disorders, especially OCD; addressing postpartum issues and mom stress; providing counseling to children and teens; and helping couples improve their relationship.
How’s the Culture?
We think we’re pretty fun, just saying! We’re not a huge practice, and not a tiny one either. There are just enough fun people here that you will really enjoy your co-workers and the sense of being on a close-knit team. We don’t just sit in our offices doing sessions; between our supervision/consultation sessions, trainings, and outside fun events, we get to know each other and feel really connected.
