Aspen University has an opening for an Academic Records Coordinator. This position is remote!
Academic Records Coordinators at Aspen University are responsible for upholding the integrity of the student record and applying university policies equitably to all students. This position will work directly with students from diverse backgrounds as well as collaborate with other university departments to help support student success and retention. Academic Records Coordinators spend most of their time assessing student situations, collecting and analyzing student information, updating student records, and collaborating with other university departments to solve complex student issues.
Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to students, with a focus on maintaining the accuracy of the students’ record
- Ability to self-manage a caseload of students and utilize time management skills to ensure students receive equal support within published contact timeframes
- Communicate with students daily via phone and email, while providing quality customer service
- Maintain the integrity of the students’ records and guide students with integrity
- Assess student situations and utilize problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate with other university departments to assist the student
- Comfortability with working with various forms of technology to support online student learning and remote work environment communications
- Additional related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Preferred Experience
- 1+ years demonstrated customer service experience
- 1+ years administrative office experience
Remote Work Requirements
This job is fully remote. Employees must have a designated, private, quiet workspace. Remote employees are expected to be on camera for meetings and training sessions. Employees are responsible for abiding by all FERPA privacy laws within their home-work environment. While employees will have some flexibility to work with their manager and determine their schedules, all work must be completed during standard workweek hours; employees are not permitted to work evenings or weekends as a standard schedule.
Work Environment
The essential functions of the job are usually performed in an environmentally controlled facility where the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This position may involve working in a combination of office and classroom environments. While performing the job duties, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee may sometimes be required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
