Must be licensed CAC and/or CSC (ADT minimum) in Maryland.
Main Purpose of Job: Is to provide assessments, treatment planning, facilitate group sessions, and case management for clients in an PHP, Residential 3.3, Intensive Outpatient & Outpatient Program. The Counselor will meet with clients that have alcohol, substance abuse, and possible co-occurring mental health disorders both individually and in groups. Provide documentation of the individual and group sessions in the Electronic Records System. Our program has a strong emphasis on person - centered treatment planning with a mixture of traditional and holistic therapy. The candidate for this position will have the ability to accurately document all clients’ interactions using systems approved by the agency. The candidate for the position will also meet with the clinical team for supervision and skills assessment monthly. The ideal candidate for this position will be flexible and adaptive. The candidate will also have to be detailed oriented, compassionate, and a good team player.
