The Healthcare Financial Analyst will focus on data-driven analytics and financial modeling to provide better understanding of the current financial (and operating) environment, and the likely economic outcomes of potential programs under consideration. The Analyst will utilize proven skills in gathering, interpreting and organizing data into actionable insights (to understand why) that the practice can use to improve operations and/or care delivery. The Healthcare Financial Analyst will work closely with existing departmental analysts, key operators and Executive Leadership to develop, monitor and present findings to practice leadership and key stakeholders.
The Healthcare Financial Analyst will be responsible for:
- Development/Maintenance of Standard Analyses Useful For Decision-Making
- Project Pro Forma Modeling and Presentation
- Team Engagement and Collaboration
Qualifications Include:
- BA or BS in Mathematics, Informatics, Healthcare Engineering, Accounting, or Masters in Healthcare with focus in Analytical Environment is preferred
- Direct experience in healthcare industry analytics (physician practice preferred) - 3 years minimum
- Knowledge of medical practice data (Revenue Cycle, Operations) and financial modeling
- Demonstrated ability to prepare analyses using a variety of software applications, utilizing available query tools, formulas, language, logic, etc.
- Ability to present prepared analyses to peers, executives and physicians
- High degree of professionalism and competency in dealing with a variety of individuals within the practice (Physicians, Advanced Practice Practitioners, Nurse Navigators, Clinical Operations Director and Supervisors)
- Experience with physician compensation models is a plus
