We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Behavioral Health Clinic Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality, and a genuine interest in supporting patients' mental health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Interaction
Greet patients and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor.
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
Provide information to patients regarding clinic services, procedures, and policies.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Process patient intake forms, insurance documentation, and other required paperwork.
Handle billing and payment processes, including collecting copays and verifying insurance information.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and emailing as needed.
Clinic Support
Coordinate with clinicians and support staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Monitor the waiting area, ensuring a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment.
Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by the Clinic Manager.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in office administration or related field is a plus.
Bilingual preferred Spanish
Previous experience in a medical or behavioral health setting preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using office equipment and computer systems, including electronic health records (EHR) software.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a clinic setting.
May require sitting for long periods and occasional lifting of office supplies and materials.
Full-time positions typically require 40 hours per week; part-time schedules may vary.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
