Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and monitoring vital signs.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient information, including medical history, symptoms, and treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures and self-care techniques.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Assist with medical imaging procedures and interpret results.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications.
- Familiarity with coding systems such as ICD-9 for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems to record patient information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures is a plus.
