Job Title: IT Technician (Level 1)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Occasional off-hours work for system upgrades)

Job Description:
The Level I Technician is responsible for providing technical support and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems and services. The technician will perform a variety of tasks including configuring workstations, onboarding new employees, managing backup logs, and assisting users with technical issues. This role requires a strong understanding of IT systems, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Configure New Workstations:
- Set up and configure new computer workstations for employees.
- Install and update necessary software and applications.
2. Repair Workstations:
- Repair computer workstations for employees.
- Manage vendor provided off-site repair as needed.
3. Onboard New Employees:
- Assist in the IT onboarding process for new employees.
- Set up user accounts and access permissions.
4. Review Daily Backup Logs:
- Monitor and review daily backup logs to ensure data integrity.
- Report and resolve any backup issues.
5. Review Quarantined Email Messages:
- Monitor quarantined email messages for potential security threats.
- Release legitimate emails from quarantine as needed.
6. Add Exceptions to Email Filtering System:
- Manage and add exceptions to the email filtering system to ensure smooth communication.
- Work with users to identify and whitelist necessary email addresses.
7. Monthly Security Patches:
- Ensure monthly security patches are installed on all workstations.
- Follow up on workstations with outstanding patches to ensure compliance.
8. End User Support:
- Assist users with Windows and application issues as they occur.
- Provide first-level support and troubleshoot technical problems.
9. Help Desk Triage:
- Triage help desk tickets and refer complex issues to higher-level support as needed.
- Ensure timely resolution of user requests and issues.
10. Asset Management:
- Update the asset management system to maintain an accurate physical inventory of IT devices.
- Track and manage IT assets throughout their lifecycle.
- Track Software and renewal dates. Assist with the renewals of software and installations.
11. Other IT Tasks:
- Perform other related IT tasks as required by the IT Director or Raymond executive staff.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and common applications.
- Experience with workstation configuration and user account management.
- Understanding of email filtering systems and security protocols.
- Familiarity with backup systems and data integrity practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work on-site at least three days per week.
Working Requirements:
- Duties will be performed from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Occasional off-hours work may be required for system upgrades and maintenance.
- The role includes both on-site and remote work, with at least three days per week on-site.
