QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years experience scheduling in a medical facility;
- Very comfortable speaking to patients in person and on the phone;
- Proactive in communicating with our clinical staff and insurance/ billing department;
- Experienced working with an Electronic Health Records/ Practice Management software (knowledge of Advanced MD is a plus);
- Experienced with Insurance Verification and referrals requests;
- Knowledgeable of the insurance process and benefits;
- Detail oriented;
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage scheduling for providers in multiple facilities;
- Manage ongoing treatment schedules for patients;
- Work hand-in-hand with the billing department and clinical managers to ensure all patients are scheduled correctly/taking into consideration each patient's insurance coverage and diagnoses;
- Answer all incoming inquiries and referrals for prospective patients, including referrals from physicians, inquiries from our website, phone calls, etc. in a prompt manner;
- Entering all incoming patient's information accurately and promptly;
- Verifying insurance benefits and obtaining required referral;
- Communicating regularly with our marketers regarding new referrals and patient updates;
- Performing regular audits on all scheduled appointments to ensure they are scheduled appropriately;
- Speaking to patient about monies/patient responsibilities, setting up patient payment arrangements, and collecting payments;
- Processing payments on a daily basis (co pays, DME payments, etc.);
- Keeping an accurate referral log up-to-date with patient communication;
- Communicating with our billing department regarding patient matters, including authorizations and referrals;
- Being comfortable talking about Lymphedema and our treatment to patients (this will come with education from our team)

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
