POSITION SUMMARY
The Receptionist creates a welcoming and supportive environment while serving as the initial point of contact for visitors entering the Martha O’Bryan Center. Responsibilities include providing administrative support throughout the organization, welcoming and greeting guests, coordinating front-desk activities such as distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls. This role requires a welcoming and cheerful demeanor as it involves customer service, and the ability to handle emergencies promptly and efficiently while maintaining smooth office operations. Strong multitasking and stress management skills are crucial for success in this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ensures that the reception area and community classrooms are well-equipped and suitable for activities.

Cultivates a culture of support, inclusion, and mutual respect among clients and staff.

Assists customers, employees, vendors, and others contacting the Center by answering calls and directing them to the appropriate individuals or departments. Provides accurate information in person, over the phone, and via email.

Provides support for program staff including intake, research, marketing and data collection.

Welcomes visitors and guides them to the appropriate individual or department.

Supports the Center with clerical tasks such as preparing documents and entering data into Salesforce upon request.

Updates and maintains the employee phone directory and front desk procedure guide as needed.

Handles incoming and outgoing mail daily.

Maintains office security by adhering to safety protocols and controlling access from the reception desk.

Performs additional duties as assigned, including filing, photocopying and faxing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent GED.

Three or more years related experience.
