Job Summary
Works daily to research and resolve waybilling discrepancies & issues timely as a part of the Waybilling team. Executes improvement projects focused on analyzing data and data relationships from which to draw fact-based conclusions that will drive and support recommendations providing long term solutions to repetitive problems. Position’s normal schedule is Monday through Friday , 1000 - 1900 reporting to the Supervisor of Waybilling.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities:
Works daily to research and resolve waybilling discrepancies and issues timely as a part of the Waybilling team.
Analyzes data and data relationships from which to draw fact-based conclusions that will drive improvement.
Collaborates with Technology and other business partners to resolve, improve, and implement solutions, providing long term solitions to repetitive problems.
Assists Billing team with other value added projects.
Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
Must be HAZMAT certified within 90 days of joining the team and recertified every 2 years to retain position.

Equivalent Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma/GED.
- Experience: 5 or more years of experience in Billing, Receivables, Accounting, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, or related rail experience.

Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Transportation or related major field of study
- Experience: 1 or more years of non-supervisory experience in Billing, Receivables, Accounting, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, or related rail experience.
Must be HAZMAT certified within 90 days of joining the team and recertified every 2 years to retain their position.

Job Requirements
- 5% travel required.
- Work hours may vary in length and schedule.
- Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek.
- Shift work is required for 24 hour 7 days a week coverage (3 shifts). As business needs and staffing capacity changes, team members will be asked to cover shifts other than their own as needed. This position's normally scheduled hours are 1000 - 1900 Monday thru Friday.
- HAZMAT certified within 90 days. Certification process is multi-phased, progressive training including classroom and online. Must have passing score on HazMat General Awareness, Waybilling HazMat Function Specific Certification Course, and demonstrate functional comprehension and ability to apply HazMat technical knowledge with a passing score on a series of Test bills.
