Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Centers has an opening for an Authorization Representative. As a member of the team, this individual supports the prior authorization process for our private practice physical therapy company located in CT working closely with front office staff to ensure a smooth work flow and an outstanding customer service experience. This is a fully remote position.
Responsibilities include:

Obtain and record appropriate insurance prior authorization for all patient visits

Work closely with and communicate daily with clinic staff and Authorization department

Collaborate with front desk staff and billing contacts to address authorization denials and issues
-
Maintain a consistent and available schedule during clinic hours

Meet organization productivity standards
Qualifications:

Comprehensive knowledge of health insurance authorization process for providers

Strong computer skills with ability to navigate multiple platforms in a paperless environment

Excellent and accurate data entry skills

Excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills
-
Exceptional time management and organizational skills
-
Customer service focused with a friendly, outgoing demeanor

EMR experience - Prompt preferred

Have appropriate remote workspace environment
