We are looking for a dedicated Driver Recruiter to join our team in identifying hiring needs and filling job openings for Class A CDL Drivers. The primary responsibilities of a Driver Recruiter include identifying hiring needs, reviewing reports, sourcing candidates through databases and social media, conducting interviews, and filing paperwork.
A successful Driver Recruiter has excellent interpersonal skills, is organized and detail-oriented, impeccable phone etiquette, and keeps informed in company hiring practices. A good Driver Recruiter can assess candidates' skills, experience, and relevant knowledge and compare them to job requirements.
Driver Recruiter Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with dispatchers to compile a consistent list of requirements.
- Attracting suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, etc.
- Conducting phone interviews and sorting through applicants to fill open positions.
- Assessing applicants' knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
- Completing paperwork for new hires.
- Promoting the company's reputation and attractiveness as a good employment opportunity.
- Keeping up to date on current employment legislation and regulations and enforcing them within the company.
- Providing recruitment status updates to Recruiting Manager.
- Offering driver applicants current information on the company including, benefits, facilities, operations, compensation, and driving opportunities.
- Gathers and analyzes information to ensure applicants are qualified and applications are complete.
- Reads, reviews and synthesizes MVRs and PSP reports.
- Processes all driver paperwork to complete application folder.
- Performs initial verifications for previous work history on qualified drivers.
- Schedules drug tests and physicals.
- Schedules travel for out-of-state applicants.
Driver Recruiter Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional phone etiquette.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with recruitment processes and databases.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good decision-making skills.
- A working knowledge of employment law and legislation.
