Maimonides Health seeks a Nurse Manager for Interventional Radiology to be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and clinical operations of the Interventional Radiology department. This includes managing staff schedules, assignments, training, and performance evaluations. The Nurse Manager ensures high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient departmental operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, supervise, and mentor the nursing staff in the Interventional Radiology department, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating performance, and providing coaching and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and workflows to promote patient safety, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor patient volumes, staffing levels, and supply/equipment needs to ensure adequate resources are available to meet patient care demands.
- Participate in the development and management of the department's operating and capital budgets.
- Investigate and resolve patient complaints or concerns related to nursing care in a timely and professional manner.
- Serve as a clinical resource and provide guidance to nursing staff on complex patient cases or procedural issues.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care, operations, and staff development.
- Maintain accurate and complete records related to staff performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and other personnel matters.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and hospital policies related to patient care, safety, and nursing practice.
We require:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) NYS license
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least 3 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or a related clinical area.
- Leadership or management experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in Interventional Radiology nursing practices and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications and HER electronic health record systems.
