Regional Sales Manager - Commercial & Residential; territory or TBD for the right candidate. This is a remote position ideal for a candidate based near a major Metro Airport.
Manages regional sales activities of the organization by performing the following duties personally or through outside sales representatives.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive sales plan for the assigned region focusing on achievement of region sales objectives
- Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
- Conduct field visits to assist the sales team and drive demand for AFX products (field visits should account for 50%-60% of RSM work time)
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
- Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
- Represents company at trade association meetings, distributor functions, and client functions to promote the product.
- Delivers sales presentations to key clients.
- Provide sales and technical coaching to the sales team to ensure that sales individuals have requisite skills to achieve sales goals
- Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships, negotiating, and closing deals.
- Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
- Recommends or approves budget, expenditures, and appropriations for research, development work, and field issues.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university preferred.
- 3-5 years related industry experience and/or training.
- Prior experience as a Regional/District Sales Manager preferred
- 3+ years of experience selling specification lighting luminaires and controls products through agents and distribution preferred
- Proficient w/ MS Office applications (word, excel.ppt).
- Ability to travel as needed.
