Responsibilities & Duties

Provide program related support to one of three portfolios: Training and Awareness, Community Outreach, Research & Analysis

Develop outreach and promotional products associated with assigned portfolio

Conduct portfolio specific communication and awareness to a diverse client base on the availability and capability of developed programs.

Develop content and presentation material for various training delivery methods to include classroom, web-based and self-guided courses.

Provide in-person, online, and virtual disaster preparedness, disaster response, and hazard awareness training such as team organization, search and rescue, life-saving care, and disaster medical response.

Support tailoring of all training material to Spanish-speaking communities.

Conduct research and analysis on how to improve existing disaster response related hazards and make recommendations on the development of additional hazards to address.

Develop and update existing information sheets through both content validation and development, and graphics revisions.

Support the development of meeting agendas, stakeholder communication, data collection, metric analysis and promotional product development and distribution.

Provide support to large scale event planning and logistics
Required Educations, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
-
Bachelor’s degree required in relevant field
-
Emergency Management/Preparedness experience preferred.

Child safeguarding experience preferred.
-
A minimum of eight (8) years recent and relevant experience managing the subject task in a contract of similar size and scope.

Experience developing graphics for print and web.

Microsoft Office product proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Desired)

Master’s Degree

Previous experience as a Project Manager with background in emergency management/preparedness.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred but not required.
Location: Hybrid schedule with expectation to report into office in Washington D.C. 2-4 times per pay period.
Citizenship and Security Clearance Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Ability to pass DHS Background Investigation.
