Account Manager

The Account Manager is responsible for working with our customers to identify their project needs and tastes, as well as provide project solutions. Meeting and greeting our retail customers, working with our Pro Customers (Builders, Contractors, Designers) as well as prospecting new business.
If you have experience in interior design, floor covering sales, home improvement sales, real estate sales, customer service, home building or remodeling industry or any sales background this opportunity could be a great fit for you. However, if you have drive and no experience, we want to talk to you.
No flooring experience needed, we will teach you!
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
· Generate prospects from an assigned marketing territory.
· Sell Memberships to personal prospects and walk-in prospects.
· Maintain a level of professional knowledge about ProSource products in order to be able to better sell to and service Members and Clients.
· Product and Operations Responsibility
· Assist in Showroom promotions and events.
· Sell products to Members and their Clients.
· Instruct Members on maintaining control of Clients.
· Follow up on orders.
· Assist in maintaining Showroom cleanliness and organization of samples.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Two (2) years flooring or interior design experience. Additional relevant experience can be substituted for the required education
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Basic mathematical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and ability to multi-task with urgency.
- Must be able to work with and learn our estimating software (RFMS)
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner along with gather and analyze information skillfully.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Maintain composure in dealing with our customers, employees occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
- Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Computer usage
- Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential information.
- Regular talking and hearing.
- Excessive standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25
pounds.
- Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Salary: $40,000 base + commission
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
