Job Description
As the Human Resources Manager, you will be supporting the management of the Team Member Services (Human Resources) department. Responsibilities include overseeing benefits administration, employee relations, internal communications, team member career development, wage and hour compliance, training programs, workers' compensation, and legal matters pertaining to resort employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, government regulations, and company policies and procedures, including but not limited to the Occupational Safety and Health Act, Equal Employment Opportunity, Wage and Hour regulations, Affirmative Action, and employee records administration.
- Conduct annual HR compliance and standards self-audits. Communicate and interpret all company and hotel policies and procedures.
- Oversee the J1 Work-and-Travel program and J1 Internship program. Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, agencies, and potential team members. Ensure compliance with all federal guidelines for the J1 program.
- Manage 72 housing units at Slopeside Village, including processing rent invoices, submitting payroll deductions, conducting frequent housing inspections, and maintaining communication with Slopeside Village management.
- Handle invoicing for Accounts Payable.
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date personnel files for all employees.
- Develop and implement programs and events to foster a positive work environment for all employees.
- Oversee and facilitate training initiatives such as New Hire Orientation and the Certified Field Trainers (CFT) program, collaborating with the Corporate Learning & Development (L&D) team to advance L&D initiatives.
- Ensure workers' compensation claims are properly documented and reported.
- Assist with leave programs, including FMLA, PLOA, and Workers' Compensation.
- Submit required documentation for unemployment claims.
- Manage Team Member Crisis Foundation requests.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Maintain records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, as well as team member statistics for government reporting.
- Coordinate management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety, and anti-discrimination/sexual harassment.
- Assist with investigations of team member complaints.
- Manage benefits programs, including life, health, dental, and disability insurance, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, team member assistance, and related educational programs.
- Prepare team member separation notices and related documentation, and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
- Oversee the Team Member Services (TMS) department.
- Assist in the development of TMS team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
- Three to five years of Human Resources experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist or Manager.
- Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
- PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification.
- Proven experience in handling disciplinary actions and terminations.
- Familiarity with FMLA/ADA regulations..
