Project Scheduler
The Project Scheduler works closely with each departmental lead to plan, create and manage all project schedules. In addition, the Project Scheduler monitors each project's progress, identifies potential bottlenecks, delays, and adjusts the schedule as necessary. They also play a key role in coordinating resources, ensuring that all necessary personnel and materials are available when needed to keep the project on track.
- Maintain company workflow by creating, monitoring, and analyzing project schedules.
- Ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and resource allocation.
- Manage project schedules, tasks, and meeting updates.
- Monitoring work scopes using spreadsheets and company software
- Monitoring project progress, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved.
- Maintain a project risk report to ensure risks are effectively managed to minimize their impact on the schedule, scope, and budget.
- Develop contingency plans based on what-if analyses.
- Ensures that all project documents are reviewed and understood, and establishes timelines for production, delivery, and installation.
- Documents clear and detailed notes from meetings and telephone conversations.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field with at least two years of experience as a project scheduler.
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent analytical, critical, and planning skills.
- Work under pressure and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to create spreadsheets for the purpose of organizing information.
- Must be meticulous in their work.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and provide leadership as needed.
- Effectively communicates and solves problems via e-mail and telephone conversations.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
