Essential Functions
Attention to detail is necessary to be successful in this position. It is imperative to make sure our inventory stays correct and up to date.
Being able to convert between different units of measurement is crucial while weighing raw materials. This includes converting between metric units (e.g., grams to milligrams) and understanding conversion factors (e.g., moles to millimoles)
- Responsible for receiving of goods and shipping of finished product, resolves shipping and receiving issues
- Produces product label for inventory control and accountability, and stocks product according to company standards.
- Conducts inbound and outbound inspections; including sampling of products and putting products in quarantine until approved for production
- Coordinate with suppliers and shipping companies to ensure timely receipt and delivery of product, completing all shipping documents as required
- Picks, issues, and documents (GDP) batches according to Batch records (BR)
- Checks raw material for expiration dates, color, texture, smell to ensure that materials are acceptable for blending
- Weighs raw material according to batch record formula and records information accurately
- Identifies deviations and informs QA
- Records Return to Stock amounts of materials
- Uses forklift and other material handling equipment as needed (for shipping, receiving and inventory control)
- Maintains detailed documentation and records of inventory transactions, adjustments, and movements.
- Performs regular inventory and cycle counts of all materials
- Performs duties to maximize efficiency in manufacturing, ensures production and quality goals are met
- Performs cleaning and sanitation duties, proper housekeeping, and adheres to safety and GMP procedures
- Complies with safety/OSHA Compliance, Hazardous Material/HACCP/MSDS, sanitation and facility requirements
- Follows clean room procedures (GMP)
- Uses learnings to implement improvements that minimize errors
- Maintains confidentiality at all times while using dependable judgement and discretion
- Demonstrates professional, respectful and collegial behavior
- Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- A minimum of 1-3 years related experience in an FDA-regulated industry, such as food, pharmaceutical or supplement manufacturing is preferred
- Strong math, reading and writing skills are required
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office Products
- Forklift operator experience and certification preferred
- Ability to follow and assist with preparation of SOP’s, CAPA’s and Master Manufacturing Records (demonstrated documentation practices in a GXP/GMP environment)
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment such as weighing scales

- Must meet requirements for and pass fork lift certification
- Some use of Microsoft Office products required
- Good communication skills in English both verbal and written
Requirements
- Equipment Used: Fork lift - must meet requirements for and pass fork lift certification
- Physical Demands: lifting up to 75 lbs, frequent and prolonged standing, bending, reaching and climbing (ladders); confined work spaces; comply with gowning, gloves and other GMP requirements
- Manual Dexterity: operate computers, machinery, clean equipment and enter data (keyboarding)
- Audible/Visual Demands: Eye and ear protective equipment required at times
- Environment: includes confined work spaces, open warehouse environment, gowning required in some areas, frequent exposure to chemicals and cleaning agents, must be able to use/wear respirator when required
