Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Alarm Technician to join our team. As an Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing alarm systems for residential and commercial properties. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Install, program, and troubleshoot alarm systems, including security alarms, fire alarms, and surveillance cameras
- Conduct site surveys to determine the best locations for alarm system installation
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate installation
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on existing alarm systems
- Respond to service calls to diagnose and repair system malfunctions
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions about alarm systems
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of alarm system installation and maintenance procedures
- Experience in alarm system sales, including security alarms and fire alarms
- Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics to accurately install alarm systems
- Familiarity with low voltage electrical systems
- Ability to perform field service work, including troubleshooting and repairs
- Excellent problem-solving skills to quickly identify issues and find effective solutions
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate installation and programming of alarm systems
- Knowledge of construction inspection processes for proper placement of alarm system components
- Proficient in using CAD software for designing alarm system layouts
